Marianne Rosenberg has been successful on stage for decades.
Despite this – or perhaps because of this – the pop singer is now taking the music industry to court.
As a woman, it is much more difficult there, according to the criticism of the 67-year-old.
Berlin - Since the 1970s, Marianne Rosenberg has been one of the most influential hit stars (all hit news at a glance) that the Federal Republic has ever seen.
But the 67-year-old, who will release her new album "Diva" next Friday (July 8th), did not always have it easy: As a woman, obstacles were often put in her way in the industry, according to her clear criticism.
Marianne Rosenberg complains about sexism in the music industry – hit star was “completely underestimated”
One thing is very clear for Marianne Rosenberg (the most successful German pop singer of all time): In the music world, they have "completely underestimated" - for the equally simple and stupid reason that she is a woman: "Doing your own work, music Writing, producing music, getting the budgets in – it took a long time before I was entrusted with that,” reports the 67-year-old in an interview with the

.
"As a woman, you have to yell and fuss 20,000 times louder to even be seen and assert yourself,"
criticizes the interpreter of "He belongs to me" the conditions within the industry, showing how deeply rooted the problem of sexism was in it and probably still is.
Praise for German rappers – pop singer Marianne Rosenberg expresses admiration
On the other hand, Marianne Rosenberg (the stage names of the big hit stars and their real names) had words of praise for the many female rappers who are currently turning the German music landscape upside down with powerful voices and words: "Even if I sometimes say this vocabulary, what you think of the men Holt, sometimes represents a separate form of discrimination - which these young women do not feel that way.
It's a different generation, going their own way."

According to the 67-year-old, some of her colleagues should also orient themselves to these artists: "The older women all duck away and try to carry out repairs on themselves as inconspicuously as possible so that they are somehow tolerated on stage." When it comes to power women, the German hit doesn't have to hide: Andrea Berg and Vanessa Mai are finally doing something together and will soon be releasing a single.
