Li Jiachao said that Xi's speech fully reflects his concern, attention and support for the Hong Kong SAR, as well as the country's insistence and affirmation for the comprehensive and accurate implementation of "One Country, Two Systems", which is an important milestone.
He said: "President Xi's important speech is a guideline for good governance and development of Hong Kong, and provides important guidance for the SAR government's governance in the next five years."
Li Jiachao hopes that officials and civil servants can carefully study and understand the content, grasp the core essence, consciously respect and maintain the fundamental system of the country, and connect with their own work.
He said that this was the most lively symposium he had ever attended, and the participants spoke enthusiastically, which was 45 minutes longer than the original schedule.
More than 100 people attended the symposium, and Secretary for Justice Lam Ting-kwok also shared his feelings.
The Civil Service Bureau said it would hold another forum to let more civil servants understand the spirit of Xi's speech.
