Suspicion of attack in Givat Shmuel:

 The suspect in the attack on the ultra-Orthodox man is a 33-year-old resident of the town of Einabus near Nablus, who held a job search permit in Israel.

He was caught inside Israeli territory, in Petah Tikva and has no prior security background.

In the same incident, a 46-year-old Israeli citizen was attacked while walking on the Givat Shmuel bridge - his condition is difficult but stable.

The attacker fled the scene and police are conducting searches in the area.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. 

MDA medics and paramedics provided the man with medical treatment, and evacuated him to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer when his condition is moderate, he is conscious with stab wounds to the head.

The wounded man is the father of six children, suffering from three fractures in his head.

His wife, Yael Dahan, said that her husband reported that the stabber had an Arab appearance, a short, light-colored shirt that escaped immediately after the attack.

"My husband went to pray in Givat Shmuel, got on the bridge and the man came in front of him, took something out of a bag and gave him strong blows to the head. The medical staff called me, I arrived immediately."
