The security guard of the criminal Bnei Shlomo, who was shot two days ago in Moshav Heletz, died of his wounds at Barzilai Hospital today (Thursday).
Police are investigating the incident as murder.
MDA reported on Tuesday that at 20:23, a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Lachish area about a wounded man in an open field violence in the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and referred a 40-year-old man to Barzilai Hospital in recognition of a serious and unstable condition with a penetrating injury.
MDA paramedics Dvir Baribo and Eitan Lasri said: "The wounded man was lying in the open while he was conscious and suffering from a penetrating and bleeding injury.
"We immediately started medical treatment, which included stopping bleeding, bandages and giving medication, and evacuated him while continuing life-saving medical treatment to the hospital when his condition was serious and unstable."
