"Once a lion, always a lion": The fans of 1860 Munich are loyal souls.

The Isar-Loisach fan club has now celebrated its 15th anniversary.

Bad Heilbrunn – After the missed promotion is before the hope of promotion: because real supporters of TSV 1860 Munich have been suffering for many years, according to a statement from the club, the Löwen fan club Isar-Loisach did not even bother with it, that another season in the 3rd league will start soon.

The club celebrated its 15th anniversary with a summer party, which, as the statement goes on to say, "of course kicked off at 6.60 p.m. in the Gasthaus Kronschnabl".

143 members

In his review of the past decade and a half, fan club chairman Josef Mayr made it clear that this football club is something “very special” for die-hard lions.

Because when the club, also at Kronschnabl, was launched, exactly 60 founding members showed up.

"We now have 143 members," said Mayr.

But he didn't know then what the festive evening, framed by the Bad Heilbrunn band, would bring: three other members who spontaneously signed their application for membership.

Perhaps, according to the club in its press release, this was due to the presentation by Martin Bachhuber, who did not avoid the great tragedy of 2017 with relegation to the regional league, but the immediate promotion to the 3rd division a year later bathed in such a warm light "that you just had to be captivated".

Mayor Gründl is a founding member

Mayor Thomas Gründl, himself a "Blue" and founding member of the Löwen fan club, acknowledged that the club always shows its colors and is well represented at the events of the Bad Heilbrunn municipality - and also cuts a fine figure on the soccer field.

After all, the Isar-Loisach-Löwen have already won the football village championship.

The founding members present that evening received certificates and pins, before the members turned to what they do best: dreaming of promotion to the second division.
