Weather experts are forecasting temperatures above 30 degrees for mid-July.

Sometimes even more than 40 degrees are possible.

Munich - The weather in Germany on Thursday (July 7th) has a little slack.

Summer is taking a break, temperatures are hovering around the 20 degree mark.

There will be frequent showers throughout the day, but weather experts do not expect large amounts.

However, some regions could use the refreshment from above.

In parts of Germany and Europe, the heat of the past few weeks has caused severe drought.

Weather: Expert makes heat forecast for Germany and Europe – “life-threatening situation threatens”

This situation could get worse in the next few days, explains qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung from the weather

.

According to the expert, Sahara air will flow to Germany and Europe from Tuesday of the coming week (July 12).

“From next weekend

(July 16th and 17th, editor’s note),

the weather models continue to expect 35 to 40 degrees in Germany.

Again and again, temperatures slightly above 40 degrees appear," according to the weather expert's forecast.

"In southern Europe, 45 degrees and more are sometimes possible," says Jung.

Those are record temperatures.

"Should the extreme heat calculations actually prevail, there is a risk of life-threatening weather conditions," warns the expert.

Days of heat at temperatures between 30 and 40 degrees is a major challenge for the circulatory system - especially in older and sick people.

Weather in Germany: DWD expects temperatures "beyond the 30 degree mark"

The German Weather Service (DWD) also expects temperatures to rise in the coming week.

According to the ten-day forecast, the experts expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures of up to 32 degrees for Tuesday and Wednesday.

From Thursday it will be "probably very summery, with maximum values usually well above 25 degrees, in the south and southwest often beyond the 30 degree mark," writes the DWD.

Due to the weather and the high temperatures, the risk of forest fires is also increasing.

In addition, the melting of glaciers in the Alps continues.

"Further glacial collapses like the ones just a few days ago are quite conceivable," warns Jung.

Several people died in a glacier fall in the Dolomites.
