It's getting pretty steamy in Freistaat.
Current weather forecasts give hope for a hot July.
In the middle of the month, the 40 degree mark could even be broken.
Munich – Bayern have been enjoying a lot of sun since the beginning of July.
In almost every region it is summery and warm, only for the edge of the Alps there was still a risk of severe weather.
An Azores high brings a high pressure wedge to Bavaria.
This brings warmer sea air to us, as the German Weather Service (DWD) writes in its forecast.
“Warning” weather is not expected.
The current forecasts for the rest of July promise heat.
Weather in Bavaria: Heat wave causes temperatures to skyrocket
It will be hot in mid-July.
At least that's what the American GFS weather model and the European one predict.
According to the GFS, on July 16 there should be temperatures of up to 37 degrees in the east of the country, as meteorologist Johannes Graf from
wetter.net writes
in a statement.
The reason for the heat is high altitude lows over Europe, which "tap" air masses from Africa.
Meteorologist Britta Siebert-Sperl does not even rule out that the 40-degree mark will also be cracked, as she explained to the
Augsburger Allgemeine
.
In Bavaria, extremely high temperatures must be expected, especially on Lake Constance and in the direction of Augsburg and Füssen.

Expert sees "many outliers upwards" in weather models: "It will be exciting"
The meteorologists seem to agree on the interpretation of the weather models: the heat will come in mid-July - even in Bavaria.
Meteorologist Dominik Jung says there are "many spikes to the upside" in the American weather model, indicating intense heat.
Outliers appear in almost every model run.
So the heat wave really seems to be coming.
According to Jung, however, there is "a great deal of uncertainty involved" since the weather situation can change again within ten days.
One thing is clear: “It will be exciting”.
