Garbage and unauthorized parties cause trouble at the Max-Eyth-See in Stuttgart.

As a solution, a fence to cordon off is now being discussed in order to be able to better control the place.

Stuttgart - "Stuttgart has become a stinking, dirty hole" - this is the devastating verdict of gastronomy, trade and citizens for the inner city of Stuttgart.

There are illegal parties and rubbish in various places in the state capital, which always causes trouble.

Not only do local residents suffer, but also the environment.

Max-Eyth-See is one of those places in Stuttgart that has a party and garbage problem.

For years, the city has been looking for a way for visitors to use the lake as a meeting point without nature suffering as a result.

In 2020, among other things, signs with rules of conduct were put up.

But the measures have had little effect so far.

Furthermore, there are illegal celebrations and mountains of waste, which is why one is now thinking about harsher consequences, as reported by BW24.

Stuttgart: Barrier for Max-Eyth-See under discussion - fence could help with control

The politicians in Stuttgart around District Manager Ralf Bohlmann and Mayor Frank Nopper are currently working on a concept with further measures.

It is not yet known what these look like in concrete terms.

District manager Alexander Schmidt-Rüdt from the Zuffenhausen police station could, for example, imagine installing a fence with several revolving doors around the lake, as reported by the

Stuttgarter Zeitung (StZ)

.

With the help of the fence, the police in Stuttgart should then be able to control the area more easily and close the area from 10 p.m.

If visitors then do not leave the Max-Eyth-See, this is trespassing and the officials could intervene.

From the point of view of the police, this could also solve the garbage problem.

Fence at Max-Eyth-See has caused resentment before

A fence on the Max-Eyth-See caused displeasure among the citizens as early as 2021.

In the winter of last year, a fence including revolving doors was erected on the peninsula to protect the bird island and the Natura 2000 area.

There were also certain closing times over the summer.

District manager Bohlmann will discuss all proposals with the representatives of the administration, as the

StZ

writes.
