Saturday, the day is likely to be long behind the wheel. The territory is placed in "red" and the main axes are to be avoided as the traffic is important there.

This weekend, many vacationers will be on the roads.

Traffic will be difficult on the main roads in the direction of departures.

Bison Futé, the road information organ classified “orange”, “red” and even “black” several routes.

Saturday is expected to be the busiest day.

Friday July 8, the last day before the school holidays, will be marked by very heavy traffic, in Île-de-France and in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, both classified as “red”.

It is advisable to leave Ile-de-France before 12 noon and avoid the A1 motorway between Paris and Senlis between 5 and 8 p.m.

Traffic remains heavy until late in the evening, especially on the A10 motorways (from Tours to Orléans), A7 (from Lyon to Orange and from Salon-de-Provence to Marseille), A62 (Bordeaux to Toulouse).

Saturday, classified as “Black”

Saturday is the day whose roads will be the busiest in the direction of departures, classified red at the national level and black in the direction of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The A7 motorway in the Rhone Valley should be avoided in particular.

In Ile-de-France, the traffic jams will be concentrated around the A6 and A10 motorway tolls from mid-morning and until mid-afternoon, it is recommended to leave or cross Ile-de-France after 4 p.m.

Most major roads are affected by the traffic alert.

Bison Futé recommends avoiding a certain number of them, among them: the A11 motorway linking Paris / Le Mans and Le Mans / Angers, the A10 motorway, in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, and between Orléans and Tours, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

In the South, the main axes linking Bordeaux and Bayonne (A63), Lyon and Orange and Salon-de-Provence and Marseille (A7) and even Toulouse and Narbonne (A61), will also be blocked.

The national level is “green” but the Mediterranean Arc and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region remain “Orange”, however, where difficulties will persist on the A7 motorway in the Rhône Valley.

Between Lyon and Orange, traffic will be disrupted (A7 motorway) between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., estimates Bison Futé.

Traffic around Toulouse will be heavy at the end of the day, departing from Agen and heading towards Narbonne.
