Mexican rock icon Carlos Santana, 74, has postponed six concerts of his tour to focus on his recovery, days after collapsing while performing in Michigan, a representative for the guitarist said Friday.
Manager Michael Vrionis explained that concerts scheduled in Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Texas will be delayed so that Santana can fully recover from the extreme exhaustion, heat stroke and dehydration that caused him to lose consciousness.
"Carlos is fine and eager to return to the stage soon," Vrionis said in a statement, specifying that Santana "deeply regrets" postponing appointments with his followers, "but his health is our main concern."
