In one of the sections in the cabinet regulations, it was revealed that Lapid would be able to put the appointment to a vote if he wanted to. • Lapid's entourage stated:

Following the revelation of "Israel Today":

Prime Minister Yair Lapid tends not to raise the appointment of Yossi Beilin as chairman of the Nature and Parks Authority, after Deputy Prime Minister Naftali Bennett vetoed it.

According to one of the clauses in the government's bylaws, the prime minister will be able to approve the appointment if he decides.

"A minister may make a proposal for appointment or approval of an appointment by the government within the responsibility of his office, unless the prime minister decides otherwise."

Written in section.

The Lapid entourage responded: "We will not appoint a cabinet meeting without the consent of the replacement prime minister."

"Israel Today" revealed that the Minister of Environmental Protection, Tamar Zandberg, will approve the government's appointment of Yossi Beilin as chairman of the RTG on Sunday - but things turned out differently.

"Shrinking in shame."

MK Ophir Sofer appealed to the Attorney General to block the vote during the election.

In response, Minister Zandberg said: "I cringe in shame at the surrender to a political campaign from the maker of the poison machine."

As mentioned, the right-wing chairman, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, announced yesterday that she would oppose the government's appointment of Yossi Beilin as chairman of the RTG on Sunday. Until the government receives an explicit commitment from Beilin that no site in Jerusalem or Judea and Samaria will be harmed and its development will not be delayed.

At the same time, Communications Minister Yoaz Handel announced that he would vote in the government against the appointment.

"There is no reason to make appointments during the election period, let alone do so without checking that the new chairman will maintain the national sites in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria."

Finally, Bennett decided to veto.

In response, the Minister of Environmental Protection said: "Shame shrinks in the face of surrender to a political campaign by the creator of the poison machine. Personal disqualification and persecution of a person due to his identity is a victory for everything the government has fought against in the past year. And his partners reach the top within hours of those who wanted to lead a different discourse, mutual respect and unity. "
