It is a project worth millions that a company wants to realize in Murnau's Kemmelpark.

The area in question previously belonged to the municipality.

But Mayor Rolf Beuting (ÖDP/Citizens' Forum) remains silent about the planned research center.

Murnau

- It all sounded very promising when the company Neurovision Pharma was awarded the contract for the central free area in Murnau's Kemmelpark more than five years ago.

A research center is to be built there.

At that time there was talk of 150 jobs.

The project is estimated to be in the double-digit million range.

But there is still nothing to be seen of a research center on the former military site.

Vehicles are currently parked on the site.

Probst asks Beuting

Some councilors are getting impatient.

"What about Neurovision, Mr. Mayor?" asked Welf Probst (Free Voters) in the Main Management Committee.

"What will happen with it?" Probst also asked City Hall boss Rolf Beuting (ÖDP/Bürgerforum) about a possible reversal of the property transaction.

CSU parliamentary group spokesman Rudolf Utzschneider also digged deeper and asked about the round table that was once discussed in relation to neurovision.

Beuting kept silent.

He said only that the matter "is and will remain a non-public matter".

When asked by the Tagblatt, city hall spokeswoman Annika Röttinger explained: "The Murnau market has concluded a contract with the company Neurovision Pharma that regulates the contractual obligations, in this case a purchase contract." Contractual contents are subject to confidentiality and non-publicity.

The municipality does not want to comment on a possible reversal.

This also applies to the question of how often the Round Table has met and who is a member of it.

It also remains unclear what the report is about, which is said to be available in April.

Utzschneider is bothered by the secrecy.

"The property is sold.

I don't know what else we should negotiate." For Utzschneider "it's not entirely clear why this shouldn't be public".

Certainly there are “things that have no place in public, but then you just separate them”.

The CSU parliamentary group spokesman wants to know: "Will it be built and when?" It is a property in a central location that belonged to the Murnau market.

"You have to be allowed to ask what happens to it."

No information from the investor

The company Neurovision does not contribute to the clarification either.

Professor Ulrich Bogdahn, one of the shareholders and managing directors, explains that "no information about new developments can be given at the moment".

City councilors will probably know more soon.

Because at the next meeting of the main management committee on Thursday, July 14, the area in question will be discussed behind closed doors.

“We get the information we need there,” says Probst.

He has already looked at the documents that are in the Council Information System.

These are "very detailed".

And the public?

You can't always inform them about everything, says Probst.

For example, as in this case when it comes to contracts.

Röttinger says: "If there are facts that can be presented to the public, they will of course be informed."
