Customs find a record amount of cocaine: drugs were brought to Aschaffenburg in containers
Customs discovered exactly 1,075 kilograms of cocaine in a container at the container station in Aschaffenburg.
The street value of the incredible amount is over 100 million euros.
But before the drug investigators at Munich Customs could strike, an intensive investigation was carried out.
Officials found that a container with medical products from South America was supposed to arrive at the port in Hamburg.
It hides the cocaine in it.
From Hamburg we went by train to Lower Franconia, writes the BR according to exclusive information.
There, in Aschaffenburg, the steel container was monitored by customs officials.
The investigators also noticed that the oversized package of drugs was loaded onto a truck and sent to Hesse.
The destination was Friedberg.
Civil investigators lay in wait there for five days.
The wait paid off.
Three men tampered with the container early one morning.
The trap struck.

So far, they have not wanted to give any information about their backers.
The Munich customs investigation office, together with the public prosecutor and the Munich State Criminal Police Office, want to announce more details on the record drug find on Monday morning.
