Values of dioxins beyond the limits.
This is what the ARPA surveys have certified in the area where Saturday's maxi fire in Rome took place.
"These values - explained Marco Lupo, general manager of Arpa Lazio - are data produced by the fires in the immediate future. They have been communicated to the local health authority which will assess whether and what measures to apply. We are confident that the values will be able to return to normal ".
ARPA Lazio promptly launched air quality monitoring activities after the fire by installing two high-volume samplers for the measurement of micropollutants on the evening of Saturday 9 July.
The results of the measurements carried out by the sampler recorded the value for dioxins equal to 10.6 pg / m3 higher than the reference value identified by the WHO for the urban environment (0.3).
As regards benzopyrene, a value of 2.6 ng / m3 was recorded, also higher than the annual average of 1 ng / m3.
The car wreckers are blocking traffic on Viale Palmiro Togliatti in Rome, in the same stretch where a big fire broke out on Saturday, the fourth in twenty days in the capital.
The car wreckers, whose areas were affected by the fire, are protesting against the hypothesis of their transfer.
The Capitoline councilor for the environment Sabrina Alfonsi is going to the place.

"If the motive is mafia-like we cannot say. The theme is that in almost all fires the waste supply chain is involved".
