Gas becomes a very scarce commodity by winter at the latest.

In Saxony, a tenant is already forcing people in 600 apartments to save.

Dippoldiswalde - From day to day it is becoming easier to guess what is blooming in Germany by autumn at the latest.

Due to rapidly increasing energy prices, which are mainly fueled by the Ukraine war and the associated uncertainties in gas and oil supplies, people in Germany should brace themselves for austerity measures.

The network agency even fears a total failure of Russian gas supplies.

Saxony: landlord turns off the gas tap at times - 600 apartments are affected by the restriction

A landlord in Saxony has already started doing this.

In Dippoldiswalde, south of Dresden, tenants in a settlement have to accept restrictions on heating and hot water.

The Dippoldiswalde housing cooperative informed the tenants - after all, 600 apartments are affected - by posting a notice in the entrance area about the savings.

The note in the

reads: “Gas and electricity prices continue to rise.

As already announced at the general meeting, we now have to save for the winter.” The residents have to do without the heating completely until September.

Hot water is only available three times a day: from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (weekends from 4 p.m.).

Perhaps people can at least avoid a price increase by the energy suppliers, which could now benefit many households.

Gas emergency: Tenants' association sees "serious lack of rent" in electricity and heating restrictions

The cooperative board of directors gave a reason for the measure: "It's not about annoying the tenants, but about adjusting to what we might not be able to pay for next year," Falk Kühn-Meisegeier is quoted in

It was said that the tenants wanted to get through the crisis well.

The largest importer of Russian gas in Germany has apparently already arrived there.

The energy giant Uniper needs help from the federal government.

The Dresden Tenants' Association also had a say.

He sees the measure as a "serious lack of rent", whereas "one could proceed with a rent reduction".

“We currently have no emergency situation.

There is gas," said Florian Bau of the

If you still want to save, here are four tips on how to reduce gas consumption while showering.
