"Anne Frank was a white privilege," was the statement, and this is what the discussion on Twitter revolved around this week.

Anna Frank.

This was one of the trendiest topics on Twitter this past weekend.

But no, God forbid, her fascinating diary, her writing talent or the murder in the Bergen-Belsen death camp.

"Anne Frank was a white privilege," was the statement and the debate revolved around it.

Yes, yes, the 15-year-old girl, who hid with family and friends in a small hiding place behind a bookcase and was eventually murdered by the Nazis, became, with a few tweets, a lucky girl born in the right color.

To the onlooker the discussion seems utterly delusional, but the more one digs and digs into it the more one reveals how much hatred for everything and whoever is white can be as strong and deep as hatred of whites for everything that is black.

It begins with the use of words: in most respondents Frank was "killed" and not murdered.

Some have heard of it, but have no real idea what the exact story is.

For them, the fact that Frank was white was completely enough to form an opinion about her.

The next step is Holocaust denial: one respondent recounts how she watched with her partner and father on television an article made about the concentration camps, while the man's father said the Holocaust was an "invention of the Jews."

For if the victim is a white girl whose father is a businessman, then she is strong and approachable and offensive.

And if she became famous, then she must have had connections and there was someone who opened the door for her and helped her become famous.

"All bricks are protected by the color of their skin" is another claim raised.

Because Anne Frank was white, she was automatically protected that blacks could not get.

The fact that Frank grew up in a different world, a different culture and a different time is of no importance at all.

Germany, the Netherlands and the streets of Baltimore after being murdered by Freddie Gray cops are, for them, the same place.

And it's scary.

Not because anyone dared to touch Anne Frank who is a symbol, there are enough symbols that are shattered and shattered every day.

This is especially frightening because such a discussion, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of people, reveals the level of ignorance, stupidity and folly of many young people, in this case Americans.

They are so engrossed in their agenda that they are willing to harness anything in its favor, even if it is a systematic extermination of a people.

Everything becomes one: slavery and racism and anti-Semitism, a mixture of hatred of the other and the thought that my struggle can grossly trample all suffering and make manipulative use of it.

History is a tool to prove my absolute righteousness.

I am most sensitive to myself, but see nothing and no one from the rain.

Sacrifice is a terrible trait.

All the more so as she becomes one who everywhere seeks confirmation of her existence and adapts the facts to the agenda in order to produce a theory.

If you die of hunger, cold and disease you are not privileged, period.

Not even if you have experienced all of these and stay alive.

Were we wrong?
