As you may recall, a suspect allegedly tried to put a 16-year-old girl in the trunk of his car who was engaged in sports activities at the place, but was unable to do so - and fled the scene.
After the abduction attempt, the girl testified to police that while she was training in the evening, a man with an Eastern European accent suddenly approached her.
"He grabbed me and tried to put me in the trunk of the vehicle, which was open. I shouted for help and people who were in the area approached the vehicle. He saw them approaching, left me, got in the vehicle and fled. I did not recognize the vehicle number, not sure he had license plates. "I know this person, I have never seen him before," she said.
The girl's father elaborated on what happened: "Someone was waiting for her in one of the alleys and knocked her to the floor. She struggled with him, knocked on the vehicle and shouted. A couple who was there heard her shout and approached the vehicle. He saw the couple and ran away, that was her luck. It was her luck. "It could have ended in sexual assault or even murder. She does not know who the suspect is, he may be a pedophile and possibly a murderer."
On her mental condition, the father said his daughter is scared and does not leave her home: "It will take time for her to feel better and feel safe."
