Destruction Continues: Six-Year Peak in Logging in the Amazon Israel today

2022-07-12T16:38:18.978Z

According to a satellite test, the forest is having a hard time rehabilitating itself, and the damage is becoming irreversible.

Satellite images of the Amazon forest show that this year the rate of deforestation in the forest is the highest in the last six years.

According to the photographs, 3,988 square kilometers of trees were felled from the witness forest during the first half of the year, compared to 3,088 last year.

Worse, a recently released satellite test examined footage from the past three decades, showing that 75% of the forest is struggling to rehabilitate itself after droughts and fires, and that damage to the forest, critical to the Earth's carbon dioxide processing cycle, is becoming irreversible.

Another problem caused by deforestation is the increase in fires in the Brazilian region and an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere.

The locals who cut down the trees are causing fires in the clearing area, to clear the area of low vegetation.

In doing so they amplify the damage of the resection itself, and only inflict further significant damage.

The loss of resilience of the forest apparently occurs on the eve of global warming, but also following the felling of many of the trees in it for the purpose of clearing land for agricultural purposes, despite the global damage caused as a result.

The ministry ignores the reports

For environmental organizations, one of the main culprits is Brazilian President Jair Bolsonero, a right-winger who is known for "denying global warming" and has even lifted many restrictions on deforestation in the forest.

However, the Brazilian Ministry of Environmental Protection also claims this year that it is fighting hard against crimes against the environment and forest protection, but the ministry ignores the report of multiple deforestation - which, as mentioned, is at a peak of six years.
