After a 7-year hiatus, the Tal Salhab Sugar Company in Hama countryside begins receiving sugar beet from the producers

Today, marketing operations for sugar beet began for the Tal Salhab Sugar Company in Hama countryside, after a 7-year hiatus due to the crisis.

The Director of the General Organization for Sugar, Saad Al-Din Al-Ali, explained that the return to operation of the factory is an important achievement in the field of sugar beet manufacturing and sugar production and supporting farmers and producers of this crop, expressing his hope that sugar beet cultivation will return to flourishing as it was in the past in the Al-Ghab region, which occupied the first place in its production at the level of Syria by 300 to 400 tons annually.

In turn, the director of the General Organization for Food Industries and the director of the Tal Salhab Sugar Company, Eng. Ibrahim Nasra, stated that today the operations of receiving the crop from the producers began, and in parallel with that, boilers were operated and connected with the company's self-generating turbine with the operation of the oven, and all of them will continue to work throughout the marketing period of the crop.

The technical and production manager in the company, Rami Issa, mentioned that the process of operating the main machines and departments preceded the distribution of supply cards to farmers and the mobilization of the workshops and mechanisms to maintain the various departments necessary for the beet production process, explaining that the process of maintaining production lines was relied on local expertise and cadres, whether on-the-job or retired Years ago, who answered the company's call for the success of its return to production as a professional and patriotic duty.
