Various reports on the net indicate that Bandai Namco, the Japanese gaming giant responsible for the Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Soulcalibur 'series and distributor of hundreds of anime games, was attacked by hackers using ransomware.

As of this writing, Bandai Namco is keeping quiet and has not yet confirmed that the company's servers have been hacked, but the concern is that personal details of employees and users who left information on the company's servers are at risk and exposure.

More information Fear leaks are deals it has signed with developers and other companies, or even a source code for games in development.

Over the years there have been a number of hacking and ransom attempts for giant companies, and only in the last two years have companies like Capcom, CDPR and even EA been hacked.

In the case of EA the company claimed no damage was done and personal information of the players remained secure, but in the case of CDPR it had to deal with the leak of the source code of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 into the network.
