A picture of horror: the Ford of an Eglingerin was completely destroyed after a head-on collision with an abandoned caravan.
She and her son had a great guardian angel: both were only slightly injured.

Spectacular accident between the two Eglinger roundabouts: A caravan detaches itself from the clutch - and crashes head-on into the Ford of a 53-year-old.

– It must have felt like a nightmare: When a 53-year-old woman from Egling wanted to take her 7-year-old son to school on Wednesday morning, an abandoned caravan came across her lane.
The woman crashed her Ford Focus wagon head-on into the camper.
Miraculously, she and the boy suffered only minor injuries in this spectacular accident.
Both were able to leave the Wolfratshauser district clinic, to which an ambulance had taken them, after outpatient treatment.

A 46-year-old Dane was driving in his Volvo and caravan on State Road 2070 from the Eglingen industrial park in the direction of Sauerlach shortly before seven thirty.
In the long right-hand bend between the two roundabouts at the level of the stables, the trailer became detached from the trailer hitch and threw itself into the oncoming lane after the Dane had to brake in an emergency.

The Eglingerin was driving there at that moment.
Her Ford collided with the camper standing across, spun to the right over a small slope and ended up on the roof below, completely destroyed.

According to the Wolfratshausen police, a technical defect in the clutch cannot currently be assumed.
Rather, the officials assume that the trailer was not properly engaged.
The Ford and the caravan were totaled.
