An MDA team called to the scene found them lying on the sand, a few dozen meters apart - and completely dark around them.

The death of a father and daughter who drowned on an undeclared beach in Palmachim was determined tonight (Wednesday) at Shamir Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
The two, residents of Hura in the Negev, were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and after prolonged resuscitation, the doctors had no choice but to determine their deaths.
The report of the incident was received yesterday at the MDA hotline around 9:50 PM. "Lying on the sand tens of meters apart," MDA said.

"We turned on headlights so we could perform medical tests while at the same time police officers illuminated the area with lighting fireworks," they added.
"After long minutes of intensive medical care, the young woman's heart was beating again and she was evacuated to the hospital in a critical condition while she was breathing.
The case joins six more drowning incidents that occurred yesterday across the country.
In the first case, a 5-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after drowning in a kibbutz near Beit She'an, and in a case that occurred at the same time on a beach in Ashkelon, three children drowned, two of whom were seriously injured.
Later, an 18-year-old woman from a pool in Tel Aviv was unconscious.
