They were set up as initial reception centers for refugees from Ukraine.
Now the district is dissolving the first of three emergency shelters in gyms.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – As reported, the district has converted three gyms into emergency shelters for refugees from Ukraine.
As the district office reports on request, the first of these should now be dissolved.
According to authority spokeswoman Marlis Peischer, the gymnasium of the middle school on Adalbert-Stifter-Strasse in Geretsried will be returned to the city "in the course of July".
Emergency shelters in Bad Tölz and Wolfratshausen will remain in place
The other two - in the gymnasium of the Gabriel-von-Seidl-Gymnasium in Bad Tölz and in the multi-purpose hall in the Farchet district of Wolfratshausen - will remain, according to Peischer.
According to her, 56 people are currently living in the Tölz emergency shelter, and 47 in Wolfratshausen. The Geretsried gymnasium is therefore no longer occupied.

The use of the emergency shelters has changed: they were originally set up as initial reception facilities for the first few days after arrival.
At that time, refugees still came to the district by bus.
That's different now.
According to Peischer, the number of Ukraine refugees in the district has remained constant at around 1,600 since May.
Gyms “Slowly Filling Up”
Refugees who have no other quarters generally live in the gyms today – either because rental contracts for their previous accommodation are expiring or because, even after a long search, nothing can be found for them.
It can be observed that “there are limits to the recording,” says Peischer.
The gyms are "slowly filling up," she says.
The capacities would therefore still be needed.
