Following the criminal indictment filed against him by the British prosecution for four counts of sexually assaulting three men and soliciting another man to have sex without his consent, actor Kevin Spacey is expected to appear in court in London today (Thursday), where he will reportedly sign a plea deal .
The 62-year-old Oscar-winning actor was charged with sexually assaulting three men between 2005 and 2013.
Two of the complaints are related to a sexual assault in 2005 of a man who is currently in his 40s alongside another serious assault of a man who is currently in his 30s in 2008 in London.
The third complaint relates to a sexual assault that took place in Glaucershire in 2013 of a man who is currently in his 30s.
The most serious accusation against the former "House of Cards" star is the coercion of intrusive sexual activity without consent, with Spacey allegedly forcing oral sex on his victim.
At the start of the trial at his trial last month, Spacey's lawyer sought to stress on behalf of his client that he denies all charges against him.
"Although I am disappointed with the decision, I will voluntarily appear in the UK to defend myself against these allegations. I am sure I will prove my innocence," Spacey said in an interview with Good Morning America.
If found guilty of the most serious offense than those attributed to him in the indictment, Spacey, who was released after the previous hearing on bail without restrictive conditions, could find himself with a life sentence.
If charged with sexual assault, he faces up to six months in prison or an unlimited fine.
"He has returned to the UK to establish his innocence," his lawyer said.
"He needs to provide an answer to these accusations so he can move on with his life."
