Disruptions and congestion on the roads are expected today (Thursday) in Jerusalem during the second day of the visit of US President Joe Biden.

Main streets are expected to close as early as this morning, so the president is expected to leave the King David Hotel where he is staying.

In the evening, ahead of his visit to the opening ceremony of the 21st Maccabiah to be held at Teddy Stadium, King David, Keren Hayesod, Gaza, Herzog and Golomb streets will be closed to traffic, and at the end of the ceremony in the opposite direction.



As of this morning, the streets from the King David - Jabotinsky junction in the direction of King David, Paris Square in the direction of Agron Street, and the Hillel - Menashe Ben Israel junction in the direction of Agron will be closed to traffic.

Later in the day, the streets will be closed to vehicular traffic - King David - Jabotinsky to the President's House, from King Solomon Junction - Krib in the direction of King David, Paris Square in the direction of Keren Hayesod, Bethlehem Junction - Emek Refaim in the direction of King David, Dubnov in the direction of Jabotinsky, St. President Harry's corner towards the President's House.
