July 14 in Paris: the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower in 8 photos

Paris fired its traditional July 14 fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower in front of tens of thousands of spectators.


After a military parade under the blue sky earlier in the day, thousands of people gathered, despite the oppressive heat, on the Champ-de-Mars to watch the traditional July 14 fireworks , preceded by a classical music concert.

2. The fireworks show kicked off shortly after 11:10 p.m., after the performance of “La Marseillaise”, and of course taken up in chorus by the public.

3. The show opened with a discreet tribute to Régine, who died on May 1, with the broadcast of her famous song "Les petits papiers" during which we saw the Eiffel Tower "dance"

4. The Parisian sky was quickly covered with all the colors, thanks to rockets fired from the ground, around the Eiffel Tower, but also directly from the monument.

5. Several scenes followed one another with projections on the monument accompanied by the launching of pyrotechnic devices, all to music.

6. This is the first time since 2019 that the fireworks have been set off without the implementation of Covid-19 sanitary measures.

7. This fireworks obviously paid homage to Ukraine, projecting the Ukrainian flag on the Eiffel Tower, the blue and yellow rockets drawing hearts in the sky, on the song "Stefania" by the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, winner of Eurovision.

8. Like every year, the “final” filled the Paris sky with all the colors with a deafening noise, worthy of the best fireworks.
