The Russian Foreign Ministry revealed that it had prepared a media material on the effects of US military interventions in Syria, Iraq and Libya, indicating that Washington and NATO's military machine had brought destruction and suffering to these countries, including its complete destruction of the city of Raqqa.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote today via Telegram, “The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared an informative informational material on the consequences of the military adventures of the United States and its European allies over the past two decades and published it on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that in the article, with reference to reliable sources, the material damage is listed. Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and Syria by Washington and its henchmen,” adding that “the least accurate calculations show that we are talking about trillions of dollars.”
The report of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated, “The American military machine has brought untold suffering to the Middle East and North Africa, as more than 205,000 civilians were killed as a result of the invasion of Iraq by the United States and its allies.”
The report also attached a picture of the city of Mosul in northern Iraq, which was leveled to the ground due to the American bombing.
Regarding Syria, the report indicated that “the bombing of the United States and NATO led to the complete destruction of the city of Raqqa, leaving 11,000 destroyed buildings and making 80 percent of the city uninhabitable.”
The report stressed that "the Americans continue, despite the brutal destruction they have inflicted, to withhold aid and by every possible means prevent the organization of such action at the international level."
According to the report, as a result of the United States and NATO invasion of Libya, the country’s gross domestic product losses between 2011 and 2015 were estimated at $216 billion, indicating that “the price of the Libyan conflict by 2025 will reach a trillion dollars.”
The report of the Russian Foreign Ministry concluded that “in the past twenty years alone, only the victims of attacks by Western countries have incurred material damages worth no less than 1.5 trillion US dollars.”
The report pointed out that "Washington and its allies have not yet found the courage to take responsibility for their criminal actions and compensate the world for everything they did."
Zakharova pointed out that the publication of this report came due to Western countries repeating statements calling for the collection of “compensation” from Russia and the confiscation of Russian public and private property abroad “to finance the reconstruction of Ukraine.”
