Barely launched, the competition for the succession of Boris Johnson at the head of the Conservative Party has taken on strange guises.
Looks like the final, already, as if the game was played for two candidates, Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt.
The latter made a spectacular breakthrough, becoming the big favorite of the race.

The elimination phase, however, is not over.
The second round was held on Thursday, and there are only five candidates left.
Attorney General Suella Braverman was eliminated, with just 27 votes.
Rishi Sunak passes the second buoy in the lead, collecting 101 votes from Tory MPs, ahead of Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Penny Mordaunt (83) and Foreign Minister Liz Truss (64).
The other two qualified candidates are former Equality Secretary Kemi Badenoch and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Tugendhat.
