A British aid worker captured by pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk has reportedly died.
Donetsk - A British citizen arrested in Donzek by pro-Russian separatists has reportedly died.
This is reported by the AFP news agency, citing pro-Russian authorities.
The dead man is said to be British man Paul Urey, who was taken prisoner in April along with another Briton in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
Urey is said to have been in Ukraine as a humanitarian worker.
However, the administration of the pro-Russian separatists denied reports that Urey was supposed to have been a development worker.
The Brit had been active as a mercenary in eastern Ukraine and had also been arrested for these activities.
Nevertheless, the Brit received "appropriate medical care" in captivity.
The exact cause of death is currently unknown.
Further information will follow shortly.
