New Zealand has always given foreigners the impression that the scenery is pleasant and the pace of life is slow, so many people regard it as an ideal country for immigrants.
However, a recent survey shows that in the eyes of immigrants from all over the world, New Zealand is listed as the second last place in the list of the most livable countries and regions.
InterNations, the world's largest expat website, recently released the 2022 Expat Insider survey report, with about 12,000 respondents from 177 countries in 181 countries or regions sharing their overseas life experience.
The report pointed out that among the 52 destinations, Kuwait was at the bottom of the list, while New Zealand came in second at 51. 75% of the respondents believed that the cost of living in New Zealand was too high compared to salary, and some respondents pointed out that , the gap between the rich and the poor in the local area is too large, and nearly half of the respondents said that the family's disposable income is not enough to bring them a comfortable life, and 32% believe that their income is not equal to their work.

Although New Zealand has won a lot of points in the natural environment and leisure sports, nearly 40% of the respondents said that the lack of culture and nightlife in the local area, coupled with the high cost of transportation, affects the quality of life.

As for Hong Kong's extremely low ranking in personal finance index, overseas work index, and quality of life index, respondents generally believe that although working in Hong Kong can improve one's career, the local business culture lacks creativity.
In addition, they were dissatisfied with the overall cost of living and urban environment in Hong Kong, and felt that they could not speak out openly, but they all praised the development and cheapness of public transportation in Hong Kong.
Overall, 56% of respondents said they were satisfied with their life in Hong Kong.
Many expats living in Hong Kong believe that Hong Kong's public transportation network is very developed.

Mexico, on the other hand, dominated the most livable country and region. Respondents were impressed by the enthusiasm and friendliness of the local people, as well as their culture, which was a world away from Kuwait.
