Topping-out ceremony for residential complex on the Wimmerwiese.
Initial protests have died down - investment of around 70 million euros.
Pöring/Zorneding
– “Since the building sites on earth are becoming fewer and more expensive, it is becoming necessary to make everything more usable in a clearly planned and well thought-out manner.
Especially in Upper Bavaria, new living space is a good reason to celebrate.” That was the motto for the new large residential complex in Pöring.

In addition, on a hot afternoon, there was a larger party on the site of the former Wimmerwiese with official speeches.
In addition to company representatives and Zorneding's Mayor Piet Mayr, District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß and a number of other local politicians were also present.

Purchase for the first section in mid-2023
The focus is on two residential complexes with 107 condominiums.
They are being built by the Riedel Bau Group from Schweinfurt (Lower Franconia).
According to the company, the first construction phase of the project with 57 residential units has already been completely sold.
The apartments between 49 and 180 square meters are expected to be ready for occupancy in mid-2023.
The completion of the second construction phase is planned for the beginning of 2024.

Next step: Affordable housing
Zorneding's mayor, Piet Mayr, told the Ebersberger Zeitung that older Zornedingers had also bought apartments there in order to free up their own homes for the next generation.
The next step is cheaper apartments, for which there are special requirements.

criticism beforehand
In the run-up to the construction on the Wimmerwiese, there had been considerable concerns and protests from various sides.
The keywords here were, among other things, the densification in the town due to massive development and the height of the buildings on a delimited area as well as the additional traffic to be expected with the new residents.
That would have settled down in the meantime, the mayor told the Ebersberger Zeitung.
He also refers to the forward-looking regenerative energy concept for the area with pellet heating, heat pumps and photovoltaic systems.
"And that was already planned before the current crisis," says Mayr.
