Pandemic obliges, the World Athletics Championships have not taken place since 2019. After a three-year break, they are back from July 15 to 24 in Eugene, Oregon in the United States and it is an event in itself since it is the first time that the Worlds are held across the Atlantic!
The best international athletes, including 28 French, will meet there, two years before the Paris Olympics.
Renaud Lavillenie, Kevin Mayer, Mélina Robert-Michon but also new faces like Thibaut Collet in the pole vault, Sasha Zhoya in the 110 meter hurdles or Cyrena Samba-Mayela in the 100 meter hurdles will be the tricolors in particular to follow.

On the broadcasting side, France Télévisions will be the exclusive broadcaster of the event and will offer a complete program of the competition which will be commented on by Alexandre Boyon, Benoît Durand, Nelson Monfort and Stéphane Diagana.

The broadcasts will begin on France 3 from this Friday, July 15 at 8 p.m. with a relay from France 4 from 9 p.m. until midnight.
In addition to the weekend when the public service will offer the competitions in prime time (8pm-9pm on France 3 then 9pm-11pm on France 4 on Saturday; from 9pm to 11pm on France 4, Sunday; from 6.30pm to 7.55pm on France 2 and from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on France 3 on Saturday July 23; from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on France 3 on Sunday 24), retransmissions will take place mainly at night, from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. on France 2 and in the morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on France 3, time difference requires.
