Ukraine is moved by the fate of a four-year-old girl who was killed in a rocket attack on Thursday.

Selenskyj's wife also knew little Lisa.

Trigger warning: This article is about the death of a child in the escalating Ukraine conflict.

If you don't feel emotionally up to it, please don't read any further.

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin's troops launched rockets into the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia on Thursday (July 14).

The attack on an area full of civilians shocked the world.

Another detail has now become known: a four-year-old girl, Lisa, died in the attack.

Apparently, the little girl was known to the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who has now commented on the incident on Twitter.

“Today we were all horrified by a photo of an overturned baby carriage from Vinnytsia.

And then, reading the news, I realized that I know this girl," Volodymyr Zelenskyy's wife wrote on Twitter.

“We met while we were recording a video for the Christmas holidays.

The little singer managed to paint not only herself, her holiday dress, but also all the other children, me, the cameramen and the director in half an hour," said Selenska, and then posted a video of the girl.

"Please see her alive.

We weep with their loved ones.”

In the video, Lisa can be seen together with other children and the First Lady of Ukraine:

Ukraine News: Lisa was known in Ukraine through Instagram

Lisa was well known in Ukraine from social media.

Her mother shared her daughter's life on Instagram - last wrote about the tantrums of a three-year-old.

"Lisa is stubborn.

Now she's grown up and she decides what to wear," the mother said in a recent post.

"Where's my little angel gone?" Just a few days ago, she shared pictures of herself and Lisa in a lavender field.

"Every year I wanted to go to the lavender field, and today I succeeded," she announced.

But it was also about socio-political issues: Lisa had Down syndrome, and her mother was also committed to better social handling of it.

The video with Olena Selenska was probably also created in this context.

Ukraine-News: Rockets on Vinnytsia - the mother filmed the last minutes of Lisa

Vinnytsia is around 250 kilometers southwest of Kyiv.

On Saturday, Russia confirmed the attack on the city of Vinnytsia.

A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry said the attack was aimed at a meeting of "military officials and arms suppliers".

Zelenskyj described Russia as a terrorist state after the attack.

Lisa and her mother were also out and about in the city center.

A video shows the girl pushing her stroller.

Apparently, the two were on their way at 9:38 a.m. to an appointment with the speech therapist.

According to the British broadcaster BBC, the rockets hit around 11 a.m.

The video was shared by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry:

Ukraine's Defense Ministry said Lisa's mother, Iryna, lost her leg in the Russian missile attack and was hospitalized.

Lisa's speech therapist Valeriia Korol told the BBC: "Lisa was a wonderful child.

She loved coming to us.

To her mother, she meant everything in life.”

According to BBC information, 23 people lost their lives in Russia's attack on Vinnytsia on Thursday, including two other children.

Lisa and her mother only moved south from Kyiv shortly after the start of the Ukraine war because they thought it was safer.
