JUBILLAR AFFAIR, THE INVESTIGATION (1/5) – Delphine Jubillar disappeared in December 2020. Seven years earlier, dreams full of her head, she married Cédric. The couple plans to build a pavilion in Cagnac-les-Mines, soon to be at the heart of a mysterious news item.

In December 2020, Delphine Jubillar, a mother and nurse, disappeared.

Two years later, all of France now knows his name and his face, but his body remains untraceable.

Her husband is presented as the ideal culprit.

This summer, two journalists from

Le Figaro

went on the trail of this ghost, who has since haunted the Tarn.

Lit by the spotlights of the Bakardy, the bodies sway, dripping with sweat.

The December cold has been driven back at the entrance to the Tarn nightclub, and under the vaults of this old building, the red bricks are sweating the humidity.

While vodka-apple and whisky-Coke overflow from the glasses, the speakers spit out the latest hits of this year 2005, from Bob Sinclar to Éric Prydz.

On the track, Delphine dances.

It's the first time she's seen Cédric, an apprentice painter she met during the summer, on a friend's birthday party.

He wasn't invited but "

 created himself

", remembers with Le

Figaro

Mélanie, a cousin also invited to the party.

He had spent the evening smoking joints and "

 sticking

Delphine, before stealing a kiss from him in the first light of dawn.

The young girl cannot then suspect that this embrace will seal her fate and that one day, her face will be plastered throughout the region.

Fifteen years later, on December 16, 2020, the inhabitants of Cagnac-les-Mines discover, dumbfounded, that one of theirs has disappeared.

In this town of 2,400 souls around Albi, word of mouth is commonplace, and the Cagnacois are quick to learn that it is a 33-year-old nurse and mother of two children, Delphine Jubillar.

Impossible not to think of Jonathan Daval, who has just been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of his wife, Alexia Fouillot.

In the aftermath of Delphine's disappearance, we fear that history will repeat itself.

After all, where could this mother have gone in the middle of winter and, what's more, when the curfew was still in place?

Why don't

did you take any luggage?

The investigators' dogs lose track of him a few meters from the house, on the tarmac road that winds the hill of Cagnac.

This child of the Tarn seems to have evaporated.

The "Le Bakardy" nightclub, now renamed the "Brens Club", where Cédric and Delphine's idyll began.
