A 71-year-old man was injured with several stab wounds near Rennes, and a young man was imprisoned after confessing to being the author of the blows which he justified by the alleged homosexuality of the victim, a-t -we learned Monday, July 18 from the prosecution.
The victim was discovered on July 16 around 5:15 a.m., lying on a roundabout in Betton, a town located 10 km north of Rennes.

The investigations made it possible to quickly arrest two young men, a minor born in 2005 in Guyana, domiciled in Le Mans, unknown to the justice system, and a young adult born in 2004 in Guyana domiciled in Rennes, little known to the judicial institution.

The investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the Rennes gendarmerie.
The young adult was referred to the Rennes prosecutor's office on Monday.

The penalty is life imprisonment.
During the hearings, the suspect declared having met the victim by chance in the street, in Rennes, on the night of July 14 to 15.
