It is currently the largest construction site in Peiting: the new construction of the V DIY store on Zeißlerweg.
The major project has now reached the next milestone: Hebauf was celebrated last Thursday.
There was a large crowd of guests who followed the topping-out speech, which was carried out at a dizzy height on a scaffolding next to the huge hall.
No wonder, after all, up to 60 people had been working on the construction site at the same time in the past few months, 26 companies had to be coordinated, V-Markt Managing Director Michael Stöckle looked back.
With the Hebauf celebration you want to say thank you to everyone involved.
"The fact that everything works so smoothly is not a matter of course these days."
So far, delivery problems have not played a role on the construction site
In fact, construction is progressing even better than expected.
At the ground-breaking ceremony there was talk of an opening at the end of the year, but the first customers should now be able to shop in the new DIY store at the end of October.
According to site manager Alfred Mariner, the fact that delivery problems have not played a role so far is due to the fact that the necessary material was secured at an early stage.
Asphalting work on the site is scheduled to begin next week.
According to current planning, the goods will be put on the shelves in September.
The mayor is convinced that Peiting is "looking forward to the opening".
Mayor Peter Ostenrieder, who took part in the celebration with his predecessor Michael Asam and the building authority team, was also in good spirits.
After the rocky road to approval with two failed citizens' petitions, the mood in the community now shows that "Peiting is looking forward to the opening".
Stöckle took the opportunity to thank the community for the good and close cooperation.
Both mayors were very committed to the project across party lines right from the start.
