Today, President Vladimir Putin approved a decree to increase the volume of grants to scientists and designers for achievements in the creation of defense breakthrough technologies.
The text of the decree, as reported by TASS, stated that the value of the grants was set at 800,000 rubles instead of 500,000 rubles for scientists, designers, technologists and other engineering and technical workers in institutions implementing state defense orders in return for their outstanding achievements in the field of advanced technological achievements and the design of modern types. of weapons and military and special equipment in order to ensure the defense of the country and the security of the state.
The decree also increased scholarships for specialists and youth up to 35 years for employees of enterprises that carry out state defense orders in exchange for a significant contribution to the realization and design of technologies from 350 to 500 thousand rubles.
The Russian government had decided to increase the number of study seats allocated to foreign students, bringing the total number to 30,000 scholarships in Russian universities and institutes in the year 2023, an increase of 12,000 scholarships compared to 2021.
