The General Company for Electricity of Aleppo put ten electrical transmission centers into service after being rehabilitated and maintained, five of them in Bustan Al-Basha neighborhood, three in Karam Al-Qaterji neighborhood and two centers in Al-Ard Al-Hamra and Ain Al-Tal.
The director of the company, Eng. Muhammad Al-Hajj Omar, told SANA reporter that the company’s work continues in accordance with its plan to rehabilitate and restore the centers affected by terrorism, as work is being done in the neighborhoods of Al-Shaar, Karm Al-Lawz and Al-Mashatieh to rehabilitate the low and medium voltage networks and to deliver electricity to them, pointing out that the number of transformational centers that have been restored It has been rehabilitated and put into service in the governorate of Aleppo since its liberation from terrorism until today. It has reached 2,150 transformational centers out of 11 thousand transformational centers that were in service, and the number of destroyed centers reached 4,000. Currently, work is underway to rehabilitate 1850 transformational centers in the city and the countryside.
Al-Hajj Omar indicated that the electricity supply to the industrial city of Sheikh Najjar continues throughout the day, in addition to Friday and Saturday, and 12 hours for the rest of the industrial areas in Arqoub, Kallasa and Ramousah, pointing out that in the southern countryside, the electrical networks have been rehabilitated in several villages, including Tal Dadin, Dalamah, Khirbet Al-Zawari and Kafr Obaid and is ready to install the transfer centers. In Maskna and Khafsa in the eastern countryside, studies are being prepared to put more centers into service. In the liberated western countryside of Al-Bab, new service centers have been established in Suran, Maran and Tal Rahal, in addition to the rehabilitation of most centers in the northwestern countryside in Nubl and Al-Zahra. The hours of electricity supply to the governorate were increased after the thermal station was put into service.
It is noteworthy that the number of subscribers to the meters in the company amounted to one million and 300 thousand subscribers.
