It was one of the most anticipated weddings in Hollywood, but Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck did it their way: away from the spotlight and the cameras that have besieged their relationship.
The couple officially married this Saturday during an "intimate ceremony in Las Vegas," a source close to the actress and singer confirmed to CNN.

Hours later, this Sunday, JLo revealed details of the wedding in a newsletter: "In the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined," she wrote.
And she also surprised with her new name Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
Part of the intimacy that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck wanted to maintain for the big "yes" has been reflected in the few images they have published of the wedding so far.

With this black and white photo, JLo shared the news of her wedding: "We did it! Love is cute, love is kind and it turns out that she is also patient for 20 years," she said.
It refers to the love story that he shares with Affleck and that already reaches two decades.
The couple originally met in December 2001 on the set of the romantic comedy "Gigli," where they played criminals who worked together and the pair entered into a real-life relationship.
Although they got engaged in November 2002, they never made it down the aisle and officially called off their engagement in January 2004.

In this "selfie" you can see part of the clothes that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck used at their wedding.
The actress and singer wrote that she wore a dress from an old movie and Affleck wore a jacket from her closet.
In her newsletter, JLo reported that she and Affleck flew to Las Vegas on Saturday night, "we lined up for a license with four other couples, all making the same trip to the wedding capital of the world."
He added: "We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel at midnight. They graciously stayed open late for a few minutes, allowing us to take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, which was evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself showed up, that had an extra cost and he was already in bed)".

She then explained that "we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave each other the rings that we will wear for the rest of our lives," she wrote.
"In the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined."
