There is a high risk of forest fires.

Fires and barbecues are therefore prohibited in the Mammendorf amusement park.

In addition, forest fire observers go on surveillance flights.

Fürstenfeldbruck/Mammendorf - The district of Fürstenfeldbruck points out that there is a ban on making fires and grilling in the entire area of the Mammendorf amusement park - especially at the bathing lake and at the youth camp site - according to a message from Tuesday afternoon.

Mammendorf amusement park: Due to severe drought - fire and barbecues are now prohibited

This also applies to the designated fireplaces.

"The reason is the persistent drought and the associated extremely high risk of fire from flying sparks." Guests are urgently asked to observe this ban.

Because of the summer heat and the dried out soil and plants, there is a high risk of fire, according to the district authority.

In order to discover forest fires as quickly as possible: aerial observation starts

In order to discover fires as quickly as possible, the aerial observers take off with their planes.

They fly over the region on certain routes in order to be able to guide the local fire brigade to a burgeoning fire as quickly as possible in case of doubt.

For some time now, the air observers have no longer started from the Brucker air base, but from the special airfield in Oberpfaffenhofen.
