Markus Söder wants a nationwide 365-euro ticket - but not for students in Munich.
This makes them frustrated.
Munich - The announcement by the Free State that it will not be involved in financing a 365-euro ticket for students is increasingly causing criticism - especially against the background that Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) is now planning a continuation of the 9-euro ticket Tickets has brought a 365-euro ticket for everyone into play, limited to one year.
"Instead of simply demanding a 365-euro ticket nationwide, Markus Söder could follow his words with deeds," says SPD city councilor Simone Burger.
He could secure the financing of the 365-euro ticket for students in the MVV area.
“Now students in Munich are to continue to pay 562.60 euros per year.
And that in one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
The 365-euro ticket is an important contribution to educational equity, especially for students.”
365-euro ticket: “For us, the cancellation came out of the blue”
Student associations and the district youth council also criticize the attitude of the Free State.
There were other signals in many conversations.
"For us, the cancellation came out of the blue," says Maximilian Frank from the mobility working group of the Munich student representatives.
