There were 50,064 fresh candidates and 38,955 JUPAS applicants, both hitting record lows.

The Alumni Association predicts that marginal DSE candidates who only get 17 points will have an increased chance of being admitted to the 8 aided universities. It is suggested that the JUPAS re-election strategy can be more aggressive.

Fresh candidates can re-elect in JUPAS from July 20 to July 23. Candidates should note that some universities have different flexible admission arrangements. For example, if they do not reach Level 2 in mathematics, they may also be considered by individual universities.

▼Application process for grade review▼

If candidates have doubts about their results, they may consider submitting an application for point review and/or re-examination of the answer sheet within five days after the release of the results (i.e. between 20 and 25 July).

School candidates should submit their applications through schools; self-study students can apply through the "HKDSE Online Service".

For details, please refer to the Candidate's Handbook or the online leaflet.

When school candidates and self-study students submit their applications, the HKEAA will immediately send a confirmation email with the payment slip to the candidates (school candidates will also receive an SMS reminder). Candidates must pay the fee on a specified date (within two calendar days).
