A fiery first session.
The examination of the purchasing power bill had its first night last night in the National Assembly, in an atmosphere that was agitated to say the least.
Throughout the session, where article 1 of the project, which concerns the tripling of the "
Macron bonus
" for large companies, was debated, the various opposition groups attacked the government.

Throughout the evening, the debates were mainly animated by the deputies of Nupes and those of the National Rally, accusing each other in turn of not voting for their respective amendments.

Stormy exchanges on the Overseas Territories
The temperature went up another notch when one of the rapporteurs of the bill, Charlotte Parmentier Lecocq, giving her unfavorable opinion for an amendment asking for an adaptation of the amount of the premiums to the living conditions of the Overseas Territories, estimated that it would be a “
tiebreaker
” with France.
Words that angered some parliamentarians.

A little before midnight, the session was finally interrupted, while a significant number of amendments still had to be discussed.
Discussions will resume this afternoon, after questions to the government.
