We believed in the media and political campaign that sought to market the transfer of power between Lapid and Bennett and their relationship as a Hollywood love story, overcoming difficulties and charges and portraying the current prime minister as a punisher. The experience was systematic and consistent, close to success.
What we did not have there: public declarations of love between Lapid and Bennett, between Bennett and the rival ministers of yesterday who have become lovers today, affectionate and often lamentations about the untimely disintegration of the family-political cell they formed, about future dreams that have evaporated and could and will never be.
All that is missing is the arrival of Nitzan Horowitz, Merav Michaeli or Mansour Abbas, who will connect to the torch with heartbreaking serenade music under the window of Bennett Fortress in Raanana.
And here, less than a week later - everything turned out to be an illusion, a fake publicity tool, aimed at positioning the architects of the love government as other, cleaner, more humane politicians.

Another example is the right-wing party, where Shaked is having a hard time convincing even Kahana Hapaysen and the unifying Kara Kara to convene under her leadership.
Contrary to rumors, there are no people in politics.
The attempt to produce a reality in which one side or the other is conducted in Victorian cleanliness and manners, while the other side acts in a macho way and plots in dark alleys, is naive;
The expectation that politicians will behave in a way that is entirely honey and strawberry - childish.
Politics is a sausage factory - not a pharmacy.
It is a simple fact of life, associated with almost every leader - from Ben-Gurion to Avi Gabay;
From Rabin and Peres to Eli Yishai and Aryeh Deri.
It would be more pleasant in the back if everyone smiled and behaved with respect and courtesy, but the mantra attack on the citizens of Israel aims to produce only a beautiful face, which will inevitably create an ugly reality.
