With the participation of more than 500 young men and women, the first phase of the educational summer camps was launched in Homs.
Salem Satah, head of the Office of Voluntary Work and Camps in the Homs Youth Branch, indicated to SANA Youth that the first phase of the camps was launched in 4 youth associations, and that the second phase will be launched during the period from the 23rd to the 28th of this July in the remaining links, pointing out that The camps host artistic, cultural, sports and voluntary activities, including campaigns (cleaning, landscaping, painting frames and drawing on the walls).
Madeleine Bilal, Secretary of the Shin Association, explained that the environmental camp seeks to involve young people in meaningful environmental activities through dedicated lectures on ways to use organic fertilizer (vermicompost), the importance of fisheries and a cleaning campaign for the Zafarana Dam, indicating that the activities are being implemented at the Martyr Khader Al-Ali School in the town of Al-Suwairi.
Young people, Abbas Mishaal, Ali Naddaf and Jana Qasrawi, expressed their happiness with the implementation of the camp's activities, which contributed to increasing their environmental culture.
