Around 5,000 yellow plastic ducks will once again compete in a turbulent race on the Zeiselbach on Sunday (July 24th).

The duck race of the Rotary Club Tegernsee is back!

Bad Wiessee

- After a two-year break due to corona, the duck race of the Rotary Club Tegernsee will take place again on Sunday, July 24th.

About a kilometer from the shore of Lake Tegernsee, around 12 noon, around 5,000 yellow plastic ducks were dumped into the Wiesseer Zeiselbach.

Each plastic cup is provided with a chip.

Bräustüberl party and honorary ticket for Europapark beckon as prizes

The first 300 ducks to reach the estuary will win attractive prizes.

Among other things, a celebration in the Tegernseer Bräustüberl for 1500 euros, a mountain bike worth 500 euros and a VIP honorary ticket for five people for the Europa Park in Rust beckon.

The racing license for each individual duck costs five euros and can be purchased by anyone.

The ticket offices are spread across the Tegernseer Tal and can be viewed at www.tegernseer-entenrennen.de.

Prizes can also be picked up later

Even if the event itself guarantees entertainment, the license holders do not necessarily have to be on site.

The winning numbers will also be published on the homepage.

The prizes can then be picked up directly after the race or on Saturday, July 30, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in front of the Sparkasse Bad Wiessee.

Anyone who sends their original lottery ticket to the Rotary Club, c/o Ulrike Reinwald, Rechthaler Weg 6, 83703 Gmund, by August 15 will receive their prize.

Net proceeds from the duck race benefit crèches

This year, the Rotary Club will use the net proceeds from the event to buy a VW Caddy for the crèches in the Tegernsee Valley.

The initiative together with the evangelical pastor Martin Weber from Tegernsee is supported by the Inner Wheel Club Tegernsee and the Rotaract Club Oberland.
