Flight cancellations, staff shortages and chaos at the airport: this makes many vacationers seethe with anger.
These are left out by the on-board staff.
The flight chaos does not want to die down in Europe.
Just in time for the summer holidays, many airports are overcrowded and overloaded.
Numerous vacationers have to wait there for hours, flights are sometimes completely canceled.
One reason for this is the lack of staff that arose as a result of the corona crisis.
However, the federal government has already announced that it intends to recruit Turkish workers by the end of August.
Nevertheless, the flight chaos heats up spirits - not only in politics, but also among the holidaymakers themselves.

Many are angry and frustrated about the conditions at European airports.
They let their anger run free, it usually hits the crew on board.
At least that's what a flight attendant is now reporting to the British daily
The Guardian
.
She wants to remain anonymous and therefore calls herself "Meryl Love".
She talks about the sometimes traumatic experiences she has to go through in these chaotic times.

Accordingly, she is regularly accosted on flights by annoyed travelers, insulted or has to listen to countless complaints about lost luggage and the like.
She is held responsible, for example, if the plane has to stand in the blazing sun for hours before the passengers are allowed to disembark.
She then tries to show understanding and apologize, even if it's not her fault.

Flight attendant reports violent attacks
But more than that: In order not to be bothered after landing at the airport and impatient or angry travelers, she changes immediately after the security check.
In the past, she explains, she kept her uniform on until she got out of the airport and drove home.
But that has now changed because she no longer feels comfortable.
On the other hand, if you're wearing the uniform as a flight attendant, "if you're just near the airport, you're an unofficial spokesman for the entire airline industry," says Love.
This means that she could no longer save herself from the countless inquiries, tirades and attacks from vacationers.

After all, she just wanted to escape the airport unnoticed and drive home.
But even on the way home, the flight attendant never felt completely safe.
"I'm sitting in the subway and I hope nobody recognizes me from the flight." Only when she gets home can she finally relax and shake off the stress.
"That's a good thing about this job, you rarely take work home with you," she concludes.
