Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Keropian discussed with Syrian Ambassador to Armenia Dr. Nora Arissian ways to develop economic relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of industry, agriculture and trade.
During a meeting between the two sides, Arissian confirmed that Syria and its public and private sectors are interested in raising bilateral economic relations to the level of the historical friendship between the two countries, pointing out that the scheduled visit of Syrian businessmen to Armenia during the current year is in this direction.
In turn, the Armenian Minister of Economy expressed his readiness to support the strengthening of ties between Armenian and Syrian businessmen.
The meeting dealt with issues related to the organization and holding of the session of the Syrian-Armenian Joint Intergovernmental Committee.
The meeting was attended by Ahmad Al-Athba, attached to the Syrian Embassy in Yerevan.
