China calls on the United States to respect Syria's sovereignty and stop looting its resources

China called on the United States of America to respect Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and immediately stop looting its national resources.

"The US military is still occupying the main grain and oil production areas in Syria and looting and plundering the Syrian national resources, which exacerbates the local humanitarian crisis," Xinhua news agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin as saying at a press conference. The United States in Syria is a form of terrorism.

Wang pointed out that "the United States always boasts of the highest standards of human rights and the rule of law, but the US measures in Syria prove that it has already failed in all these aspects."

Wang stressed that the United States should respect Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, respond to the Syrian people's calls, immediately lift unilateral sanctions, stop looting Syria's national resources, and compensate for the damage done to the Syrian people through concrete actions.
