Heat wave is imminent: where it gets hottest in Bavaria

On Monday, the heat wave reached the Free State of Bavaria.
Values well over 30 degrees are then possible in many places.
But where is it hottest?
Munich – "36 degrees and it's getting even hotter": The song text applies to the weather in Bavaria this week.
A heat wave is approaching and it's tough.
Even the 40-degree mark is not out of the question, as some meteorologists are predicting.
Several experts are already warning of the enormous heat, and you should react if you have certain symptoms.
The high temperatures can quickly become dangerous, especially for older people.

Weather in Bavaria: The heat is coming - some regions are particularly affected
The week starts on Monday (July 18) with a summery 27 degrees in the southern Bavarian Forest, according to the German Weather Service (DWD) there can only be a few degrees above the 30-degree mark in the Lower Main.
The weather service reports 34 degrees.
On Tuesday then "undisturbed sunshine" throughout Bavaria, the temperatures climbed almost everywhere in the Free State above 30 degrees.

According to the DWD, the "high point of the heat phase" has already been reached with a whopping 38 degrees.
And where in Bavaria should it be the hottest?
As is so often the case, the people of Lower Franconia work up a sweat the most on the Lower Main.
On Wednesday it will be similar, the heat is still in the Free State.

Thunderstorms follow the heat wave: The risk of severe weather increases from the middle of the week
According to the DWD, the risk of thunderstorms was already increasing during the course of Wednesday.
"Especially in the West and on the Alps".
Temporarily there is also “strong gusty wind”.
On Thursday, the heat wave will finally be over.
During the night from the west there will be "partially showery rain with intermittent thunderstorms".
Temperatures drop to lows of between 20 and 25 degrees.
